HSC Football
The leaves are starting to fall from the trees and the air is just a little crisper on my morning runs. This means mostly that College Football is coming. This Saturday kicks off HSC's first football game of the 2011 season. The game starts at 1:00 as usual and is against Averett this year at home. Hampden-Sydney football games are truly a great experience, and not just because of the tailgates, blazers, and girls in sundresses, HSC has a great football team that has made winning a habit.
Also remember that HSC soccer is coming off a great season last year and are looking to only grow stronger and push father into the playoffs this year. They play at 12:00 this Saturday against Berkely and at 1:00 against Shenandoah the next day.
So it is time for everyone to bust out their blazers, bow ties, and koozies; for as good as Hampden-Sydney is at winning games, their supporters are just as good at tailgating.
Go Tigers!

Fight Song
I was looking at my grandfathers 1956 year book and found this fight song.
H-S we hail you
We'll never fail you
All shoulders at the wheel
Though few our numbers
Nobody slumbers
We stand as sure as steel
(Chorus)
Fight boys, the game is yours,
Death Valley makes the scores
No room for slackers,
No time for blues
H-S can never lose
H-S we can trust you
Out of the victors way
This be our motto
Conquer we've got t0
H-S must win today
H-S we hail you
We'll never fail you
All shoulders at the wheel
Though few our numbers
Nobody slumbers
We stand as sure as steel
(Chorus)
Fight boys, the game is yours,
Death Valley makes the scores
No room for slackers,
No time for blues
H-S can never lose
H-S we can trust you
Out of the victors way
This be our motto
Conquer we've got t0
H-S must win today
